Duty and Desire

Duty and Desire at USA TODAY!

What is your favorite military movie? I wrote about my guilty (military) pleasures for USA TODAY. Here’s a peek:

The military movies I have enjoyed most have had a love story at their core. And since I’m of a certain age to remember when it came out (and saw it three times in the theater), I have to mention Top Gun first. Yes, the plot was decidedly unrealistic and the music is pure ’80s (1986, to be specific). But, oh, the love story! Tom Cruise plays the young hot-shot Navy pilot Maverick and Kelly McGillis is his no-nonsense civilian instructor, Charlie. There is excitement, danger, tragedy, humor — there are shirtless men playing volleyball — and there is a love story about two people who come from very different worlds.

Stop by and share your favorite  military/war movie for a chance to win a copy of Duty and Desire: Military Erotic Romance!
